At the former École des beaux-arts at Montréal
Open daily from noon to 6 pm, Thursday extended until 9 pm.
May 1-31 2011.

On Sunday May 29, Canadian artist Nadia Myre will hold a workshop at the old école des beaux arts (3450 St-Urbain) around her work The Scar Project. The installation, featured at this year’s BNL MTL, seeks to offer an avenue of expression for people to talk about their scars, pain, healing and the way in which it possible to heal one’s own wounds.
Providing an opportunity for the public to seize the initiative to get involved in the work of the artist, participants are invited to sit and take the time to express their own scars on a piece of canvas using the materials provided, before writing an explanatory piece to go with their works.
A Nadia Myre monograph is available at the BNL MTL store at the former École des beaux-arts de Montréal.
